I am finding myself needing to cut back on things that previously took time that I just don't have to give anymore. And it's interesting that I don't even miss some of the things I'm just letting go of now.
For instance, I have really enjoyed watching the Ellen Show everyday, but I haven't seen an episode in almost 2 weeks and today I went ahead and just deleted it from my regularly scheduled DVR list. I still think I would enjoy watching the show, I just don't miss it and I think that I am enjoying the way I'm spending my time now more than I would by sitting and watching it.
There are other things I have found myself cutting back on. Some things that I am cutting back on are still of value to me and I don't want to let go of completely. I think that's okay. We all need balance. I still have interests, hobbies, pasttimes, etc. and that's good. I just need to make sure that when I spend time on those things, it is an appropriate amount of time and not wasted.
It's interesting that I've been wanting to cut back on some of these things for awhile but just couldn't seem to do it. I guess I just needed a real motivating reason to finally make the change. I think I've got that reason! lol
